What Happens During Your First Visit?
When you come to our dental office for the first time, our dentists and team will go through a list of items with you, so we gain a better understanding of your dental needs.
We will:
- Ask for You to Fill Out Our Patient Forms: If you have not already done so, we ask that you fill out our new patient forms. These forms will give us a baseline for your overall health and help you get enrolled with us.
- Take a Digital X-Ray: This helps us see the bone structure of your teeth beneath your gumline and is a perfectly safe and routine procedure.
- Perform a Visual Examination: This process is important to view any dental decay that may have accumulated over time or diagnose more serious conditions like gum disease.
- Discuss Your Dental History: Learning about your smile will allow us to take note of any past dental conditions, list any mediations currently being taken, and record other relevant information to prepare for your treatment plan.
- Go Over Treatment Plans and Insurance: We want you to know your options right off the bat. We will discuss your needs, listen to you wants and help outline suggested treatment so you stay informed and can make an educated decision when choosing the next step in your dental journey.
Note: Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a caretaker.
We invite you to share any of your concerns with us and are more than happy to answer your questions to help you meet your dental goals. Give our office a call today to learn more and schedule an appointment with us.
